The British International School Budapest is seeking a dedicated and empathetic
Primary Teaching Assistant
As a member of our highly supportive and collaborative team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of learning, emotional and behavioral needs. You will work closely with the Primary school leadership, class teachers, and wider staff to help every student achieve their potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Your Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher through preparation, delivery and feedback of children’s learning
- Identify, plan (in conjunction with the teacher) and lead small booster classes for low ability or more able pupils alongside the class teacher
- Support the classroom and its learners during lesson time
- Recording and reporting pupils progress and achievements in conjunction with the class teacher
- Plan and lead aspects of the curriculum such as Hungarian Culture or EAL support sessions
- Provide cover and learning support to other classrooms as and when required for the smooth running of the school
- Supervising groups of children to offsite sporting facilities such as swimming
- Perform playground supervision duties
- Run at least one after school Co-curricular Activity per year
Our requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to engage children and enable them to perform highly
- Strong organisational skills
- Positive, dedicated to student development, flexible and hardworking
- Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development
- All positions of employment are dependent on the fulfilment of Hungarian employment law requirements
- EU citizenship or a transferable work permit for Hungary is a requirement
