Our company is looking for a
 
ACCOUNTING TEAM LEADER
 
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall accounting of the Hungarian Manufacturing entity in accordance with US and statutory GAAP requirements 
  • Responsible for the proper reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including subledgers (AR, AP, INV, FA, PA) and accounts directly in GL
  • Ensure that the Company adheres to the latest changes in Hungarian accounting/tax legislation  
  • Review and approve journals prepared by the Accounting team members in Oracle
  • Prepare tax calculations and journals
  • Provide additional support to the Financial Reporting team as and when required
  • Participate in further development of Oracle RTR modules
  • Prepare quarterly local TIP
  • Manage and coordinate the work of the Accounting and AP Team (4-5 people)
  • Prepare statutory annual report
  • Review and continuously improve existing accounting processes, structures, and systems
  • Ensure compliance with TCC and / or CooperVision accounting policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements.
  • Assist with Internal and External (KMPG, statutory, tax) audit requirements
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Qualified Accountant with 5 years PQE
  • Intermediate / Advance knowledge of MS Office including but not limited to pivot tables and VLookup functionality in Excel. 
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to review processes and implement positive change.
  • Ability to participate in a multi-cultural, multi-linguist operating environment.
  • Able to work in a high pressure, high volume environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Dynamic and flexible approach
  • Effective and professional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent customer service
 
Preference:
  • Previous experience of overall accounting and / or management in a US GAAP / SOX controlled environment
  • Previous team management experience
  • Demonstrable ability to build relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge of SOX
  • Knowledge of ERP e.g. Oracle, SAP or Baan
